Virtual court options are an important part of the Courts’ COVID-19 Recovery Plan. Remote appearances by telephone and video conferencing platforms allow courts to hear more matters during the pandemic and are helpful options when courtrooms are too small to hold in-person hearings and still respect physical distancing.

Virtual court is now available for most appeal, civil, criminal and family matters across Nova Scotia. Counsel are encouraged to consider and use virtual court whenever possible.
